We invite you to join us in a seminar with Hayashi Kunio Sensei, kendo hanshi 8th dan, currently a professor in the Department of Sport Science at Chukyo University in Nagoya and a Permanent Director of the All Japan Kendo Federation. He is also the Head Director of Training for Japan’s Under 25 Kendo Team and was the Head Manager of the Japan’s Team at the 1st Women’s World Kendo Championship.

10:00am – 12:00pm Lecture: How to Improve your Kendo Through Effective Kendo Practice

1:00pm – 4:00pm Kendo Practice – Focus will be on the practical application of the information from the lecture
5:30pm-7:30pm Post Seminar Dinner at a local restaurant. Please indicate if you would like to attend when you RSVP

This seminar will be led by Daisuke Hayashi, UVIC’s Head Instructor. Hayashi sensei is a highly qualified kendo instructor and has coached at Osaka Prefecture University, Osaka, Nagoya City University, Aichi, Japan, and has special training as a kendo coach.
